Where To Go In A Day In San Francisco, California

Found ourselves in a flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Of all the states we are visiting in the US this is the one I am most excited about. Although I don’t have a well planned itinerary, I know I am gonna enjoy. I will go with the flow. Bahala na.
Travel Date: May 1, 2017
From the airport, we book an Uber to go to Pacifica. We are staying in my friend’s aunt’s house. While having coffee, Tita offered to tour us around for $35 each. There goes the answer on how we are gonna tour this place. ‘Bahala na’ attitude is actually falling into place. Amazing.
At around 10am, we had brunch in Goldilocks then head to our first stop, Stow lake. Stow Lake is a very relaxing place. We only stayed for probably less than 30 mins. You can rent a boat to go around.

After this, we head to Golden Gate Park. We stayed mostly on the Music Concourse to take pictures. We also tried to check out the Japanese Tea Garden across it but we didn’t go in because we forgot our wallets in the car and we have to pay the entrance fee.

Then we head to San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. I am soooo excited! I’ve seen so many pictures and movies showing this bridge, I have to see it too! As soon as I saw parts of the bridge from a far, my excitement grew. This is the only attraction in the US that got me so excited. I don’t why.

I can stay on this spot for hours just taking pictures. But we want to make most of this day so we have to manage our time well. Afterwards, we went straight to The Palace of Fine Arts. It is a very picturesque place. So good that it is a common place for prenups. The place is quite and relaxing too.

Then it’s time for Lombard street where we can find the famous crooked street. It is quite difficult to take pictures because there’s too many people and my shots are too exposed.

You can find cable cars at the upper end of the steep lane. This is one of the things I want to see in San Francisco.

We are all hungry again so we are now heading to The Fisherman’s Wharf. I enjoyed this place! There were lots of stores and there were street foods too. We ate at one of the restaurants then headed to Ghirardelli, the famous chocolate brand for some ice cream and chocolates. We also enjoyed the sun set in this area.

Tasted the best ice cream of my life at Ghirardelli!

Just when you thought that our day is all good, we still have to go to Union square to get some cheesecakes. The Cheesecake Factory is located at the 8th floor of the Macy’s building. They have a balcony that gives a beautiful view of Union Square.

We planned for a two-day tour in San Francisco but we decided to go to Lake Tahoe on the second day. One day in San Francisco is not enough! I wish we had more time. This is my favorite city in the US and I kinda miss it now.
